Chesterton Methodist Church, Cambridge
CENTRE MANAGER: Part-time
14 hours per week
Core hours 09.15 – 12.30
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and either Thursday or Friday
£16.80 per hour
The church is looking to recruit a part time ‘Centre Manager’, to continue and develop the work of the current administrator post.
Excellent IT and communication skills required. This is a post that offers an opportunity to work in a supportive and encouraging team, building on and developing the church’s existing engagement with the local community.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT WORKER
RAF Honington & Stanton
We are seeking a passionate and creative Community Engagement Worker to
join our team at RAF Honington and the nearby community of Stanton.
This exciting new post will play a key part in strengthening the relationship between the RAF Honington Chaplaincy, the Methodist Church, and the local community. The successful candidate will build bridges between military personnel, their families, veterans, and the wider Christian community – fostering belonging, faith exploration, and inclusive engagement.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting chaplaincy activities at RAF Honington, including Messy Church and seasonal celebrations.
- Developing midweek family events to strengthen community bonds.
- Helping establish café-style worship and community gatherings in Stanton.
- Creating Christian holiday clubs during Easter and summer.
- Encouraging collaboration between the military community and local churches.
Salary £32,853 per annum.
35 hours per week, of which 10 hours at the Byways NPNP project and 25 at RAF Honington.
Permanent position dependent on continuing funding, initially identified for 5 years.
A satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
This role has an occupational requirement to be a practising Christian
in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Pioneer Forest Church Planter
Upwell Garden Church
We are seeking a passionate and imaginative Pioneer Forest Church Planter to work with
the team to lead and grow this unique outdoor expression of church.
Upwell Garden Church is an emerging Christian community rooted in the beautiful, historic grounds of Upwell Methodist Church – a site rich with spiritual heritage and local engagement. A small team has been building the vision of a new worshipping community which reaches people who wouldn’t normally think of coming to church and helps them find faith in Jesus. This work is part of the Methodist New Places for New People movement which is pioneering new ways of being church.
Our vision is a new intergenerational Christian community, deeply connected with God in creation, which gathers people from Upwell and the surrounding Fens.
Salary £15,600 per annum for a part time position of 20 hours per week.
Permanent position dependent on continuing funding, initially identified for 5 years.
