Sudbury Methodist Church - St John's

St Johns Methodist Church

Lively church with many weekly activities.  Our worship takes place every Sunday at 10.30 am, and is an opportunity to share with others, praising and thanking God for all He is and does; to listen to His word and to be challenged to respond to all we have heard.

Twice a month there are communion services – in the main service on one Sunday in the month and at 11 am on the third Wednesday of the month.

There is a choir which helps to lead the music and we have a number of worship leaders who take part in the services.  Spark Club [Junior Church] runs at the same time as the Sunday morning service most Sundays.

Recent Events at St John's: -

Sunday 1st September - Circuit Service. Welcoming Service for our new Minister, Rev Ruth Ridge. Visiting Preacher - Rev Barbara Garwood.

We welcomed Ruth at the start of the new Connexional Year into the active ministry and look forward to working alongside her.  In addition to St John's, Ruth will also be overseeing the work and life of our chapels at Glemsford and Bradfield.

Holiday Club

St John's ran another successful Holiday Club on the theme of "Journeys", ably organised by Lay Worker Emma Smy and Ruth Ridge at the end of August, building on the success of events run by John Boardman in previous years.

Were going on a Journey

We had a really active theme song “We’re going on a Journey” which we sang with enthusiam every day – and for the Church service on the Sunday.
